I have been online dating for a few years now, so I thought I’d share some things I have learnt over the years to help make you more successful at it. I am updating this list whenever I think of new tips, so keep an eye on it.

List Of Online Dating Tips:

1. Always stay positive, witty and even funny in your online profile. This is the first point of call for potential women, so it’s got to be good.
2. Take things slowly. Start off with a few emails, follow by some instant messaging chat, then a phone call. Only then should you ask her to meet. If you don’t be patient you will not get any meetings.
3. Get your profile up on as many sites as possible. I recommend True, Singlesnet and American Singles at least. These sites let you put your profile up for free.
4. Take an display only the best picture in your profile.(You think this is obvious, but I’ve seen some shockers!)
5. Make your profile or personals ad stand out from the others. You need to be creative…think outside the box.
6. Use the features of the dating sites. Some dating sites allow you to set up alerts for new women joining that meet your criteria. Use these features. Other features include photo sharing, chat rooms and instant messaging.
7. Pay for access to quality sites. There are some good free sites out there, and I am a member of them. But for about $10-$20 a month you can get access to millions more members and loads of features (like the ones mentioned in tip #6) that you won’t get with a free site.
8. Be honest. Creating a web of lies can be difficult to get out of down the line.
9. When contacting someone for the first time, use your real name. A cautious women is much more likely to reply if your full name is used rather than your online nickname.
10. Don’t give out your address or phone number out. If possible, call her. Women can be stalkers too.
11. Women love positive men, so stay positive all the way through the process.
